I am currently reading Jill Mansell To the Moon and Back and thoroughly enjoying it. If I were to recommend a good read I would say Mitch Albom's Five People you Meet in Heaven. This book really makes you think about the important things in life, and how we can be truly blessed.

Mike Gayle is an author who always makes me chuckle and reflective at the same time. His inclusion in the Moodboosting campaign is of no suprise to me. Try reading Mil Millington or Tony Parsons for similar style.

I read a real mix of books and completely agree with Gillian above - Mitch Albom's Five People you Meet in Heaven is a great book and really does get you thinking.

I've also read the Jill Mansell she mentions, along with all of her others - I'd recommend any Jill Mansell book. And if you are looking for something similar try Freya North or Katie Fforde.

I've also just read one oo the Percy Jackson series - if you want a good read and something different why not try some young adult fiction!

I would recommend "Private Peaceful" by Michael Morpurgo. Such a heartwarming book!

"Practically Perfect" by Katie Fforde - the short chapters make this a perfect book to dip into.

"Watermelon" by Marian Keyes is my recommendation - it made me laugh!

I would recommend "A long walk in the high hills" by Selina Scott because it gives you a chance to escape to a simpler life in sunny rural Spain.

I would recommend "Chocolat" by Joanne Harris...mmm a delicious story!

My recommendation is "Something from Tiffany's" by Melissa Hill

Anything by Alexander McCall Smith, or more specifically his 'Scotland Street' series. Failing that, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho or The Life of Pi by Yann Martel are both good bets

I would like to suggest "Eat Pray Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. This is a really in-depth book guiding the reader on a journey of emotional and spiritual enlightenment. It covers topics of realisation, grief, regret, trust, healing and eventually forgiveness. This is a feel good book and much more than your standard romance or chick-lit.

I have just read- Men at Work by Mike Gayle. A truly mood lifting book on a miserable day!

I would recommend Larkrise to Candleford by Flora Thompson, even better than the recent television series, wonderfully evocative of times gone by, a perfect summer read - take a picnic, a glass and wine and enjoy.....
